Fire Risk Assessment
Fire Risk Assessment
We are often asked the question ‘What is a Fire Risk Assessment?’. The fact is, your Fire Risk Assessment should be the cornerstone of your fire safety plans for your specific building. Unfortunately assessments are often overlooked which can lead to buildings being exposed unnecessarily to fire risk, sometimes with the potential for loss of life.
Fire risk assessments are a legal requirement in the UK. If you are the responsible person for a building or property, you must carry out a fire risk assessment to identify and assess the fire hazards in your property and put in place measures to reduce the risk of fire.
Janus Safety Solutions are a leading provider of fire risk assessments in the UK. Our experienced and qualified Fire Risk Assessors will create a report written to PAS79, the Publicly Available Specification for Fire Risk Assessments. This means that our reports are both detailed and easy to follow.
Fire Door Inspections
Fire Door Inspections
Fire Door Inspections are essential and legally required to ensure doors meet current regulations and perform correctly in the event of a fire. Properly functioning fire doors help contain smoke and flames, keeping escape routes safe.
Legislation sets clear requirements for inspection frequency, typically ranging from every three to twelve months depending on the environment, building type, and its use. Inspections cover all key components, including hinges, seals, closers, gaps, environmental factors, damage, and the overall condition of the door.
All inspections carried out by Janus Safety Solutions are completed by qualified assessors to identify any issues and ensure safety standards are maintained. Routine inspections not only support compliance but also provide reassurance that a building’s fire protection measures remain effective.
Janus Safety Solutions offer one-off inspections as well as 3- or 5-year fixed-price contracts. A fixed-price agreement ensures continuity of inspections and a favourable, consistent pricing structure.
